This Privacy Policy describes how Meena Samaj ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of users ("you") of the Meena Samaj App (the "App").

We collect the following information when you use the App:

• Account Information: Name, mobile number, email address, date of birth, gender, and profile photograph.
• Community Information: Gotra, address, city, district, state, and pincode for community directory purposes.
• Facebook Login Data: If you log in with Facebook, we receive your Facebook name, email address, and profile picture as permitted by Meta's Platform Terms. We do not receive or store your Facebook password.
• Usage Data: App activity such as posts, comments, and messages within the community.
• Device Information: Device type and operating system version for technical support purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide access to the Meena Samaj community platform.
• Display your profile in the community member directory (visible only to other registered members).
• Enable community features such as posts, events, and messaging.
• Send OTP verification for login and registration.
• Respond to support requests.

3. Facebook Platform Data

If you use Facebook Login, we use your Facebook data only to authenticate your identity and pre-fill your profile. We do not:

• Share your Facebook data with any third party.
• Use your Facebook data for advertising or marketing purposes.
• Sell your Facebook data.
• Transfer your Facebook data outside India.

Your use of Facebook Login is also governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on secure servers located in Singapore (GoDaddy cloud infrastructure). We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, password hashing, and access controls to protect your personal information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• When required by Indian law or a valid legal order.
• To protect the rights and safety of Meena Samaj members.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for Facebook Login by unlinking your Facebook account from within the App.

8. Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, please contact us at gstnitbuddies@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and your registered mobile number. We will process your request within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults (18 years and above). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
